Submission Guidelines

DIVINE ELOQUENCE MAGAZINE is a bi-monthly informational source for "What's Going On" in the world from a Christian perspective. It includes world news, events and conferences, devotionals, poetry, inspirational fiction, reviews, exclusive interviews, and more, and is also a resource for Christian writers, business owners, ministries and other non-profit organizations.   Our goal is to lift up the name of Jesus Christ, and give Him glory through every word published in Divine Eloquence. Divine Eloquence is open to submissions from non-Christian writers; however, the material must not conflict with Biblical principles.

We are actively seeking regular Columnists. Please send your column ideas with short description to: Rudelle Thomas-Stewart - Editor, at desubmissions@comcast.net. Please use an appropriate subject line. "Column Proposal: (subject)" Response time is 2-4 weeks.

Non-Fiction: Uplifting, inspiring, positive and heartwarming stories. Themes include (but are not limited to) courage; triumph over tragedy; heroism; making a difference; surviving in the face of adversity; inner strength; and grace. These stories should make us think and care, give insight and inspire positive action, and also entertain and enlighten. They are non-fiction stories that read like fiction, but are actually true.

Inspirational Fiction: Inspirational Romance, uplifting, inspiring, positive and heartwarming stories. Themes include (but are not limited to) courage; triumph over tragedy; heroism; making a difference; surviving in the face of adversity; inner strength; and grace. These stories should make us think and care, give insight and inspire positive action, and also entertain and enlighten. They are completely fictional stories.

Industry News: We publish articles that help writers grow in their craft, ministries to grow and be more effective, and businesses to become more successful. We seek submissions on all aspects of writing, marketing, publicity materials, business how-to’s, ministry helps, etc.

Fillers: We accept devotionals, conference coverage, excerpts from your book, and event coverage, i.e. concerts, etc.

SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS

-Article length: 250-500 words; conference, event, and concert coverage: 700-900 words; story length: 1,000-2,000 words.

-Stories must be original, titled, and written in English.

-Include your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address on each submission.

-Previously published material is acceptable if you (author) hold the copyright.

-Electronic submissions are preferred.

-Retain a dated copy of each story for your records.

-Publisher reserves one-time electronic and print rights for the month your material is published. Manuscripts are not returned.

-Unless otherwise agreed upon, your material will be deleted from the site when the next issue is online. PDF formatted issues are archived for 1 year.

HOW TO SUBMIT: After we respond to your query, upon acceptance, please send your submission as an attachment to: desubmissions@comcast.net. Please use an appropriate subject line. "Submission: (subject)". One submission per email. We will inform you which issue you article will be published in.

PAYMENT:

At this time Divine Eloquence is a NON-PAYING publication. We will be happy to print your advertisement, press release, excerpt, etc. in lieu of payment.
